Setting the new standard

Less talk. More action.

We’re setting standards we hope all developers will be held to in the future, and plan to have St Michael’s independently verified as best-in-class upon completion. That’s good news for people and planet, because in doing good, we’re creating spaces and places that feel great.

A modern and luxury office with couches, a whiteboard and plants.

Fully Net Zero.

No.1 St Michael’s is expected to be the most sustainable commercial space in the city. We’re minimising carbon generation as far as possible then investing into an approved Gold Standard offset programme, endorsed by the United Nations. We’re also targeting NABERS 5*, BREEAM Outstanding, WELL certification, WiredScore Platinum and SmartScore Gold.

UK GBC Net Zero Carbon

Aligning to the UK Green Building Council principles for Net Zero Carbon.

Targeting BREEAM Outstanding

International certification of the sustainability performance of individual buildings, communities and infrastructure projects.

5* Nabers
Rating

A reliable sustainability rating from 1 to 6 for the built environment, and a benchmark for progress.

Focused on wellbeing.

Sustainability is only one side of the story – health and happiness are also key priorities. We will also be setting new standards in design for wellbeing, working to the scientifically-backed WELL-Building Standard, Fitwell healthy building design principles, and to achieve Cycling Score Certification.
